Robert Brady is a curator and art historian based in Los Angeles. His curatorial projects include Steep, Alter, Ritual, co-curated with Yiyi Chen, Nicole Coriaty, Christina Ferraro, Jiayi Hou, Yumu Huo, Lily Perez-Guerrero, and Megan Wong (2024); ONE Patch: LGBTQ+ Life from Cradle to Grave, co-curated with Andy Campbell and Jessica Carolina González (2024). In September 2026, Brady will embark upon a 12-month Graduate Internship in Curatorial, Department of Photographs at the Getty.
Brady works at the intersection of curatorial research, archives, and contemporary art — with particular interest in recovering lost and forgotten histories within the LGBTQ+ community. His background spans museums, galleries, and archival collections, where he has supported exhibitions, cataloging, acquisitions research, and scholarly writing. He holds a MA in Curatorial Practices and the Public Sphere from the University of Southern California, Roski School of Art and Design, where he wrote his thesis entitled, ‘Kings, Queens, and In-Betweens: The Life and Art of JoJo Baby’. Brady also holds a BA with Summma Cum Laude honors in Art History from California State University-Los Angeles, where he completed his thesis entitled, ‘Erasure & Exclusion: Trans Identity in Andy Warhol’s Ladies and Gentlemen (1975) Series’.
